Yes, participation in the week-long New Student 取向 is 要求 for all new first-year and transfer students. Please note that the family orientation program is shorter than the one for students. Please consult the schedule prior to making travel arrangements.

What is the First Year Experience?

的 First-Year Program (FYP) is a program designed to help incoming students enjoy and adjust to in-depth critical thinking, 分析讨论, and the systems that make our institution unique. All first-year students spend their first two blocks at CC immersed in a pair of fast-paced courses that are typical of the Block Plan and that are designed to help students make the academic transition from high school to college.

When will my first-year student receive their housing assignment?

的 Office of 住房 and Conferences begins the room assignment process when the deadline for completion of the online housing agreement by incoming students has concluded. Please encourage your student to complete this agreement, and any other requested materials, as indicated by the enrollment checklist in their admissions portal. Your student can then expect to receive room and roommate information in early August.

Can first-year students bring cars to campus?
